Center for Law and Philosophy
The NYU School of Law Center for Law and Philosophy is the institutional home for the extensive research and teaching in law and philosophy that has long been a hallmark of the Law School. At NYU, law and philosophy are not just legal philosophy, narrowly construed. On the contrary, we prefer to think of legal, moral, and political philosophy as three aspects of one single subject. Moreover, we reject artificial disciplinary boundaries. Some of the scholars most actively involved in the Center are economists or political scientists by training.
