Center for Innovation and Operations Management
The Center conducts interdisciplinary research projects at the knowledge frontier of these three fields. Key competencies of the Center concern, among the others, Lean management, Open Innovation and information management.
The research carried out at the Center has an interdisciplinary and applied managerial orientation. The projects are carried out in close co-operation with industrial firms and other organisations, over extended periods of time. Both qualitative and quantitative methodologies are employed. A clinical research approach where researchers actively take part in the change processes is typically adopted.
The Center for Innovation and Operations Management is a founding member of the Institute for Management of Innovation and Technology (IMIT), a research organisation network, linking researchers at major universities in Sweden. A key goal of the Institute is to build interdisciplinary research of mutual benefit to the academic world and industry, through results that create profitable improvements in practice as well as important contributions to academic knowledge.
