Centre for Excellence in Operations (CEO)
The CEO aims to become the premier centre in Canada at facilitating excellence and innovation in operations. The Centre has two major areas of focus:
Research – The Centre has engaged in several government and industry-sponsored projects including network design, capacity planning, and forecasting. For more information on current and past projects, see the Research Projects section.
Student Development – The Centre partners with local organizations to provide projects with an Operations Management flavor. Business students bid on projects and complete them as part of their coursework. In addition, the Centre assists in organizing annual events such as the Industry Mixer and the Student Conference on Operations (SCOPE) to raise the profile of operations management among students and the industry. For more information, see information under Student Projects in the Research Projects section.
